Advent 2023: I Choose ____

Advent season is a gift. We are given an opportunity to remind ourselves that this world is not forsaken. Jesus Christ was born human to save humanity from the inside out. God the Son lowered himself to become like us so that we could become like Him and be with Him forever. But not yet. Advent is the in-between. Advent is the hopeful longing, the patient, and often painful waiting. In this season, we know Christ was born, crucified, resurrected, and ascended, but He will return. Sometimes, knowing isn't enough. We must CHOOSE to believe that Jesus is coming to set this world right and end the pain caused by Satan's lies and destruction. As we choose to believe, we participate as citizens of the Kingdom that Jesus inaugurated here on earth. This Advent season, let us set our faith on what we know to be true.
